March 14, 2020
To all of our patients at Hebert Medical Group, I would like to take this time to briefly update you on our plans to keep you safe while receiving care at our office locations.
First, we encourage all patients to be vigilant of any symptoms of fever (100.4), cough or shortness of breath, which are the most common early symptoms of a Covid 19 infection. The incubation period for the virus is such that you may be infected and a risk to others before you are actively showing signs of the infection.
Due to this fact and the seriousness of the Covid 19 Pandemic, we are asking that all adult patients come to their appointments alone if possible or to limit accompanying visitors to one. Pediatric patients will be allowed to have both parents at the visit, but we discourage bringing any other siblings to the office visit.
As well, our staff will be screening all patients and attending family members at the waiting room window prior to allowing them to enter into the patient care areas. We will obtain temperature and ask appropriate screening questions.
Elective ENT Surgery:
At this time the current hospitals and surgery centers where I am credentialed to operate, have NOT restricted their elective surgery schedule. This may change in the upcoming weeks and I or the staff at Hebert Medical Group will keep all scheduled patients abreast of any changes or cancellations. Currently, I plan to be on-site to perform these procedures as scheduled.
Fyzical Therapy & Wellness Patients:
The Fyzical office staff will be performing the same screening protocol as above along with the restriction on accompanying family members. We are currently providing scheduled PT and Wellness therapy as planned.
If anyone has further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through the patient portal, by phone, or by email (contact@hebertmedical.com)
God Bless,
Richard L. Hebert, II, MD
